Electrophysiology Services
HPRC’s electrophysiology program uses the latest technology and techniques to evaluate and diagnose the function of skeletal muscle and the nerves that innervate them.
EMG
Electromyography (EMG) is the study of the electrical activity of skeletal muscle. At HPRC, EMG studies are performed by physical therapists to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them. EMG studies can reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction, or problems with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission that provides important diagnostic information for patients.
